RADIO LIBERTY

The radio was an important element in one of the most dangerous and fascinating stages of the history of the Humanity in the war between The United States and the Soviet Union (Cold War).

Radio Liberty is a North American radio that was fighting against the former Soviet Union.

With the demolition of these facilities it put on end to that epoch in Spain and his activities of anti-communist publicity.

The USSR Anthem

The National Anthem of the Russian Federation is the name of the official Russia anthem. It’s a musical composition and its lyrics were adopted from Soviet Union anthem, composed by Alexander Alexandrov, and lyricists Sergey Mikhalkov and Gabriel El-Registan.

The Soviet anthem was used from 1944. It replaced “The Internationale” with a more Russian-centric song.

The anthem was amended in 1956 to remove lyrics which had references to former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The anthem was amended again in 1977 to introduce new lyrics written by Mikhalkov.

Anthem lyrics:

USSR anthem:

Russia – our holy nation,
Russia – our beloved country.
A mighty will, great glory –
Yours given for all time!

Chorus:

Be glorious, our free Fatherland,
Age-old union of fraternal peoples,
National wisdom given by our forebears!
Be glorious, our country! We are proud of you!

From the southern seas to the polar lands
Spread are our forests and fields.
You are unique in the world, one of a kind –
Native land protected by God!

Chorus

Wide spaces for dreams and for living
Are opened for us by the coming years
Our loyalty to our Fatherland gives us strength.
Thus it was, thus it is and always will be!
